Leanna + Scotts wedding | Mt Angel Oregon

Yeehaw, friends! I’m so excited to share images from a recent wedding I did that took place at Vanderbeck Valley Farms in Mt. Angel in the early fall, which was obviously the PERFECT location since the newlyweds had a romantic, rustic-inspired wedding! Leanna and Scott thought this thing through from beginning to end, and there wasn’t a shortage of dreamy, Pinterest-worthy moments.

I mean, check this out:

I especially loved the barn doors, not to mention the chandelier. And can we talk about that dress for a second?

Leanna said that she purchased this from True Society, and I don’t think she could have chosen a more flattering gown. Do you?

I got my dress at True Society and it was Ctually only the second shop I went to. Someone choose it off the rack for me to try on and I was very skeptical because I’m very modest. But when I saw it on myself (and it fit almost perfectly off the rack) I fell in love. It wasn’t any style I envisioned myself in but just worked for me and my body type. I knew I wanted lacing and design, not a solid material, but other than that I didn’t know and was exploring everything.

A first look gives you a very special, intimate moment with your new spouse. If you are nervous or stressed out, this will especially help to relax you, and your spouse can comfort you and let you know it will all be OK. During the ceremony, there are many of people around and you can’t fully take in the moment because everyone is staring at you. With a first look, that moment is just between you and your spouse (and your photographers, of course).

Our first look was intimate and special, along with our private vow reading. We enjoyed every part of our wedding though and wouldn’t change a thing.

I will never grow tired of rustic weddings, especially when they’re done so impeccably like this one. Congratulations again on your wedding, you two, and may your years be filled with happiness and plenty of mason jars!

I asked Leanna what advice would you offer to other couples planning a wedding? I think this was some solid advice.

Oh gosh...it’s seems stressful, and is, to plan everything but remember to go with the flow on the day of enjoy yourselves. For planning specifically, prioritize items and work your way down the list. Don’t feel the pressure of getting everything done all at the same time. Also, sit on ideas and don’t rush into them because your vision may change as you move along in the process
