There is something incredibly special about photographing a couple as they prepare to welcome their very first baby. This recent maternity session took place in the beautiful open fields of Wilsonville, Oregon, just a short drive from Oregon City, and was filled with excitement, laughter, and so much anticipation for the journey ahead. Mom looked absolutely stunning in a flowing green maternity dress that perfectly complemented the natural scenery, while Dad couldn't stop smiling as they imagined meeting their little one.
One of the questions I get asked most often is, "What should I wear?" My biggest piece of advice is to choose something that makes you feel beautiful and comfortable. When you feel confident, it truly shows in your photos. After you've chosen your outfit, have the rest of the family coordinate their clothing around your colors instead of trying to match everyone exactly. Soft, complementary tones photograph beautifully and help keep the focus on your growing family.

I'll gently guide you through natural poses and prompts so you can simply focus on enjoying the moment together. The sweetest images often happen in between the poses—the quiet smiles, the laughter, and the little glances that tell your story.
Maternity sessions are typically best scheduled between 28 and 34 weeks of pregnancy. During this time, your baby bump is beautifully visible while you're usually still comfortable enough to move around and enjoy your session.
